The result is arguably the band's finest live album, even though it may be a bit short (not even 39 minutes in length). But the performances are vibrant and focused - almost all were taken from the reunited lineup's New Year's Eve, 1984 gig at the Orpheum Theater. The only criticism is that, again, the majority of the tracks were already released as live versions (on 1978's Live Bootleg), and only three make their in-concert debut on record.

Classics Live had the same callaber of songs but the performance came off as forced and streanus and tierd. But here you have all the key members of Aerosmith Steven, Joe, Brad, Tom, and Joey on all the songs. And all the songs are rock and roll classics not to mention Aerosmith standards. Joe Perry tore the joint down with every killer riff and face melting guitar solo. Brad Whitford, Tom Hamilton, and Joey Kramers rythm section is tighter then ever, and Stevens voice is almost flawless, almost as good as it is today!

And what we get is some of the toughest and least indulgent live metal ever vinylized, not quite Greatest Hits (four dupes) but way beyond Live Bootleg or Corporate Revenge I. Professionalism-who can predict it? B+.
