Boundary-pushing electronic duo and technological pioneers the Future Sound of London have charted a magnificent, unpredictable course throughout their multi-decade career, ranging from early rave staples to ambitious excursions into ambient soundscapes, psychedelic rock, modern classical, and more. Prodigiously releasing club records under various pseudonyms since the late '80s, Garry Cobain and Brian Dougans launched FSOL with the breakbeat house classic "Papua New Guinea" in 1991, following suit with the Accelerator full-length. Environments 4 followed in 2012, the same year the group began working on a collaborative album with Oasis frontman Noel Gallagher, but the album was scrapped. What a great album. takes the old sounds and blends them into a funky nu stew.

So much talk about was this or wasn't this the due for 95 release or are these Lifeforms extras blah blah blah end of the day this is great and isn't suppose to be anything other than what it is.Whether it was made in the mid 90ies or made recently it shouldn't matter.

This album was advertised as a future release in the "Lifeforms" sleeve in 1994,but as by Amorphous Androgynous. It wasn' released. After 13 years it was. Also now released is vol. 2, 3, 4 and 5 of this title. Weird. And even weirder: "From the Archives" vol. 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, and 7.
