Music for Pleasure is the second studio album by English punk rock band the Damned. It was released on 18 November 1977 by Stiff Records. Music for Pleasure was produced by Nick Mason of Pink Floyd. The Damned originally sought out former Pink Floyd member Syd Barrett, but were unsuccessful due to his reclusive lifestyle
Although it's not immediately apparent whether he's apologizing to the audience or reproaching them, it's an entirely appropriate preamble to the punishing set that ensues. The Birthday Party's uncompromising, assaultive sound restored a refreshing element of danger to rock music in the early '80s and the performances captured on Pleasure Heads Must Burn make many of their punk predecessors look rather tame by comparison.

God's Will" by Martina McBride. The narrator in this 2004 country song recounts meeting and getting to know a physically disabled child who was selfless in that he prayed for everyone but himself. His faithful devotion to God showed her the truth. 11. "I Can Only Imagine" by Wyonna Judd. This 2005 country ballad was Carrie Underwood's first single on her debut album, and it won two Grammy Awards. Carrie Underwood was the 2005 winner of the fourth season of American Idol competition. This uplifting rock song from 1993 is a prayer in which the narrator asks God to show him a sign. He asks that the Holy Spirit's light shine down on him from heaven and teach him the way. In a sad irony, the shooter in the Virginia Tech Massacre reportedly listened to this song obsessively and even scrawled some of its lyrics on his dorm room wall.
God does take pleasure in his creation. Five times, you recall, God stands back, as it were, and takes stock of his creation. Today’s text, Psalm 104, is a song to express the joy God has in his creation. The key verse for our purpose is verse 31: May the glory of the Lord endure forever, may the Lord rejoice in his works.
This song punctuated a rather hit and miss album with Little Creatures, but it was an enjoyably messy listening experience all the same. Talking Heads had a knack for saving the best for last on their albums, and Road To Nowhere rendered all the meanderings before it more meaningful and potent just by its presence. This song has a lot of meaning culturally as well, with the video being a big explosion for the MTV generation, but more than anything it showed the Heads playing around with all the existential proclivities humans have without sounding like a bunch of pretentious assholes.
Talking Heads were one of the strangest groups to come out of the punk and New Wave movements of the mid-to-late '70s, and not just because frontman David Byrne was a total oddball. In an era where fans were forced to take sides among the classic rock 'n' roll they were used to and this new variation on it - parts of it inspired by disco glam, parts of it inspired by garage-bred rage - Talking Heads almost immediately found a sensitive audience with traditional rock fans, who undoubtedly heard the gritty rock.
