Delilah is the first number one album in the UK for Welsh singer Tom Jones. It spent two weeks at the top of the chart in 1968. Side one. "Delilah" (Barry Mason, Les Reed) – 3:26. Weeping Annaleah" (Mickey Newbury, Dan Folger) – 3:26. One Day Soon" (Francis Lai, Don Black) – 2:39. Laura" (Leon Ashley, Margie Singleton) – 3:25. Make This Heart of Mine Smile Again" (Sol Parker, Kelly Owens) – 2:39. Lingering On" (Scott English, Stanley J. Gelber, James Last) – 3:15.

Tom Jones went on to be knighted. A little known fact about this recording is that another future knight of the realm sang on it, Elton John. According to Philip Norman's biography Sir Elton, times were hard for the then-aspiring superstar, and he took whatever session work he could get, becoming in this case an indistinguishable voice in the chorus behind the melodramatic Tom Jones smash hit single "Delilah. Delilah" was also recorded by The Sensational Alex Harvey Band, Connie Francis, Ray Conniff, Jerry Lee Lewis, The Platters and The Ventures Tom Jones recalled to The Mail On Sunday February 6, 2011: "I remember when I first heard 'Delilah,' I thought: 'This is just a comedy record. My manager said: 'Yes, but we want you to do it seriously. When you first hear it, you think it's a rip-roaring, kind of number.

Delilah ‎(LP, Album). Delilah ‎(LP, Album, Mono).

Produced by Peter Sullivan. Album The Tom Jones Fever Zone. I saw the light on the night that I passed by her window I saw the flickering shadow of love on her blind She was my woman As she deceived me I watched and went out of my mind. My, my, my Delilah Why, why, why Delilah I could see, that girl was no good for me But I was lost like a slave that no man could free

Delilah (Tom Jones song). Delilah" is a murder ballad recorded by Welsh singer Tom Jones in 1968. The lyrics were written by Barry Mason and Sylvan Whittingham Mason, to music by Les Reed, who also contributed the title and theme of the song  . Country Dick Montana recorded it with the Pleasure Barons as part of a Tom Jones medley on their live album Pleasure Barons Live in Las Vegas. It was covered in 1978 by Filipino singer/artist Sam Sorono (1950–2008) on his Sings Tom Jones' Greatest Hits LP album with EMI Records. Austrian singer Peter Alexander recorded a German cover on his 1985 album Ein Abend Mit Dir. In 1988 "Delilah" was covered by Paddy Goes To Holyhead.
