A MANS SYMPHONY When Belgian- Portuguese duo Jess & James (Tony Lam and Wando Lam) released their third LP in 1969, they already had an impressive body of work under their belt. Playing a highly energized blend of pop and soul, they achieved great success in Europe with singles like '' Move'' and '' Something for nothing'' (Palette MPB S- 3114, 1968, Belter 2. 81) and Revolution, Evolution, Change! (Palette MPB S- 3237, 1969, Belter 2. 05). Their next record wouldn't bear the name Jess & James but instead the quite adventurous name of Free Pop Electronic Concept.

Change: evolution or revolution? Mao Tse-tung is quoted as saying Political power grows out of the barrel of a gun. In business, the political power wielded in change is manifested most clearly in revolutionary change. In revolutionary change, one person orchestrates change, from the top. The change is often about cutting costs or regaining control over an organisation that has lost its way by taking inappropriate risks, or perhaps by developing a myopic inability to look externally and becoming inwardly driven.
I ain't changing I’m evolving (I ain't changing I’m evolving) I’ll be going to the coffin (I’ll be going to the coffin) I’ll be going ain't no stopping (I’ll be going ain't no stopping) I’ll be going way too often. Wish I wasn’t chosen Running from my omens I’ve been on the east side That’s where I been roamin'. Don't know what they can't see They don’t understand me Feeling like a lost boy I'm on my own like Bambi. Josh goes on about how he’s change his music style and how people enjoy it and some people don’t. People want Josh to go back to his Electronic music . Blessed. Evolution" Track Info.
You say you want a revolution? Look no further than the 1960s. The decade of political protest, sexual liberation, psychedelic drugs, eyebrow-raising fashions and sweet, sweet music. Music had become a vehicle for social change. The protest songs and psychedelia of the 1960s were the soundtracks to a sexual revolution and anti-war marches. Bob Dylan also produced something quite revolutionary within the music world. His second album, The Freewheelin' Bob Dylan (1963), put Dylan on the map as a major artist. James Brown was at the forefront releasing hits such as "Papa's Got a Brand New Bag" (1965) and "I Got You (I Feel Good)". Funk would go on to be influenced by psychedelia giving rise to influential bands Funkadelic and Parliament, and would eventually inform disco. Browse our rock, pop, and soul collection.
