Latino Velvet was originally composed of Jay Tee and Baby Beesh in 1997 on the album Latino Velvet Project. Although the album featured several tracks with Frost and Don Cisco, it wasn't until 2000 that they were featured on the cover with equal billing to Jay Tee and Baby Beesh. Velvet City featured several west coast artists including: E-40, Levitti, Rappin' 4-Tay, Bosko, Cool Nutz and the Mary Jane Girls. Jay Tee is the founder and owner of 40 Ounce Records. Jay Tee has remained an underground presence in The Bay Area since his debut almost two decades ago.
Jay (hopefully) will never have an album with the context quite like The Notorious . On the production side, the album is as scattershot as Jay's previous effort, The Blueprint 2. Afterall, it was originally meant to be 12 songs by 12 producers. Like Watch The Throne, it gets away without having a sonic center because the theme of Jay's retirement carries it, even if songs like "Public Service Announcement" or "99 Problems" would play the same on any Jay album. Jay got his flowers while he could still smell them and a chance to bask in appreciation of fans by faking a retirement.
Jay (simplified Chinese: 杰伦; traditional Chinese: 杰倫) is the debut studio album by Taiwanese singer Jay Chou, released on 6 November 2000 by BMG Taiwan. The album was nominated for five Golden Melody Awards and won for Best Pop Vocal Album. The album also won an IFPI Hong Kong Top Sales Music Award for Top 10 Best Selling Mandarin Albums of the Year. The track, "Adorable Lady", is listed at number 74 on the 2000's Hit FM Top 100 Singles of the Year chart

So Jay recorded the album in the midst of a world tour. He’d record right after performing, which might explain why his voice sounded so strained and his flow so tired. And, basically, the songs are weak. Jay (hopefully) will never have an album with the context quite like The Notorious . s Life After Death or 2Pac's The Don Killuminati: The 7 Day Theory ("Nobody gone Wesley Snipe me," he says, on Change Clothes ) even though he obviously wanted to be mentioned in the same breath as them (going so far as to.

In addition to N2Deep, Jay Tee was also a member of the Chicago rap supergroup Latino Velvet (also comprised of Frost, Baby Beesh, and Don Cisco), which made its eponymous full-length album debut in 1997.
