Sexor is the album by Canadian electronic musician Tiga, released in 2006 on the Different label. It won the 2007 Juno Award for Dance Recording of the Year. The album's cover art is based on Bryan Ferry's In Your Mind. Far from Home was featured on all of the trailers and as the theme song for Sony PlayStation Home. Good As Gold/Flexible Skulls was featured as a song on the racing game Need For Speed: Carbon.

Tiga - Tiga Non Stop Montreal production veteran Tiga has made a career walking the very fine line between pop and club music, at times too precariously to stand comfortably in either. I'd honestly never rated the guy until I saw him blowing the roof off of Panorama Bar this fall with a set of house music as sugary as it was sophisticated and uncompromising

Montreal DJ/producer Tiga doesn't seem particularly interested in the lbum-remix-etc. battle plan of your average electronic artist/producer. Sexor, released in 2006, was his first proper album after seven years of DJ mixes and intermittently brilliant cover tracks. More importantly, Tiga establishes themes on Ciao! of far greater consequence than "there is a mythical sex planet. Ciao! sort of covers a lot of ground, but basically it's a reflection on music and companionship, moving from the t of luxury and sex to up, club-closing malaise.

I'm always happy to hear Tiga has released something new and this single is no different. "The Picture" seems to be a sort of cover of Prince's "When Doves Cry", at least a cover of some of the lyrics anyway, which was no sort of shock given Tiga's penchant for covers and re-envisionings of others' songs. It's not his best work ever but it's nice enough floaty, sexy, laid back tech-house, pretty typical Tiga. I assume a whole album will be to follow, and if the rest of the tracks are as good as this I'd be pretty happy.
