His first post-Chemlab album, Covergirl, was born out of that yearning for a project. Released under the name Jared Louche and the Aliens, the album was a fascinating collection of covers with styles that alternated between his Chemlab past and new electronic experiments. Featuring songs by artists as diverse as Public Enemy and Frank Sinatra, the album allowed Hendrickson to orchestrate different song elements within the constraints of someone else's writing.
