Måsstaden (Swedish: "seagull town") is the debut album by Swedish metal band Vildhjarta. Released on 28 November 2011, the album peaked at 37 on the Top Heatseekers chart. This was the first release to feature new vocalist Vilhelm Bladin and the last release to feature founding member and third guitarist Jimmie Åkerström, before he was asked to leave the band in 2012. kerström was never replaced and thus left Vildhjarta without a third guitarist since his leaving.

The band plays in an aberrant musical style with use of djent guitar. The band is characterized by harmonic minor progressions, jarring enharmonic staccato riffs, layers of reverberant guitars and dual lead vocalists. They were signed to Century Media Records in 2011. The band's name, Vildhjarta, originates from the Swedish role-playing game Drakar och Demoner. Vildhjärta (not "vildhjarta") means "wild heart" in Swedish.

Vildhjarta's hype was extremely real between 2009 and 2013, with the band's demo, full length, and EP all being excellent releases. In the world of "djent" at the time, Vildhjarta stood head and shoulders above everyone else, with its brand of terrifying atmospheres, insane string bends, and demonic.

Vildhjarta is a Experimental metal band some call it Djent, I call what they do beautiful artwork like a mural of emotion. The band has two front men who do not play an instrument but both utilize there vocal abilities to the fullest extent. Whenever I listen to this album I question my own skills as a musician but at the same time learn so much. This record is a very strong leap forward for the band and is certainly a step up from there demo Omnislash. Two tracks from Omnislash are featured on Masstaden, Deceit and Traces.
