The Everly Brothers were an American country-influenced rock and roll duo, known for steel-string acoustic guitar playing and close harmony singing. Consisting of Isaac Donald "Don" Everly (born February 1, 1937) and Phillip Jason "Phil" Everly (January 19, 1939 – January 3, 2014), the duo were raised in a musical family, first appearing on radio singing along with their father Ike Everly and mother Margaret Everly as "The Everly Family" in the 1940s.
In my opinion this was one of the best solo albums from Don and Phil and compartes equally with Don's country album "Brother Jukebox" The tracks "Louise", Sweet Pretender (that could have been an Everly brothers hit) "When I'm dead and gone" as will as the Cliff Richard duet "That's the way I'll mend your broken heart" are the. highlights. A top recording that me at the time yearn for Don & Phil to re-unite and seem to hint that this could happen.

Best known as one half of the Everly Brothers, Phil Everly also had a mildly successful solo career. The Everly Brothers (Phil and Don) were one of the most popular and influential rock acts of the 1950s. Songs like "Wake Up Little Susie" and "Take a Message to Mary" showcased the Everly's boyish charm and inspired close harmonies.
