The Destroyers of All by Ulcerate, released 25 January 2011 1. Burning Skies 2. Dead Oceans 3. Cold Becoming 4. Beneath 5. The Hollow Idols 6. Omens 7. The Destroyers Of All Ambitious, oppressive and expansive, with a strict adherence to the tradition of total bleakness the band is becoming known for, The Destroyers of All presents the most atmospheric and challenging listen from the band to date. Come dawn, no light will be thrown on them This vermin, these ingrates Us of the earth The destroyers of all". Cln Dschmps This album is the ultimate musical expression of an implacable apocalypse. It feels like witnessing the final hour of a total cataclysm, gazing at the scenery from the top of a mountain : helpless in the face of this overwhelming doom, we surrender, completely mesmerized and soothed by it's absoluteness.

The Destroyers of All. Type. Album (Studio full-length).
The Destroyers of All is dense listening, full of the style that Ulcerate made their trademark in 2009 (they recorded music before then, it just wasn’t congealed into its current deadly form). The album opens with some soundtrack-like abstract sounds, then proceeds to rip off the listener’s head. Part of the reasoning behind that is that it is so goddamned dissonant and complex
The third full-length from New Zealand-based death metal band Ulcerate isn't that different from its predecessor, 2009's Everything Is Fire. The band still balances between atmospheric guitar textures (calling what Michael Hoggard plays "riffs" is extremely reductive) and powerful, blastbeat-driven but equally spacious drumming from Jamie Saint Merat. Bassist/vocalist Paul Kelland is a forceful growler and in some ways a second guitar voice; he's not playing traditional basslines that attempt to anchor the music in any way.
The Destroyers of All is the third full-length album by New Zealand death metal band Ulcerate.
