The Ducky Boys are a street punk band from Boston, Massachusetts. Since forming in 1995 in the Charlestown neighborhood of Boston, the band has spanned over eighteen years with three tenures that have led to six full-length albums and over 80 songs. The band derives its name from the name of an Irish street gang in the 1979 movie, "The Wanderers". For the past ten years, the band has been composed of frontman Mark Lind (bass and vocals), Jason Messina drums and guitarist Douglas Sullivan.

Three Chords and the Truth is the third studio album of The Ducky Boys. It was recorded and released in 2004. The group reverted to a three piece band with a big, professional recorded sound for the album. This is the Ducky Boy's second album with Thorp Records and their first with guitarist Douglas Sullivan. All songs written by Mark Lind, except where noted. Dark Days is the second studio album of The Ducky Boys. It was recorded between February and March 1998 at The Outpost in Stoughton, Massachusetts. The Ducky Boys have always curiously held a lower profile than some of their Boston contemporaries. One listen to Three Chords and the Truth makes this fact all the more baffling. This is just an incredibly enjoyable slab of catchy, propulsive rock'n'roll. During the first few spins the most shocking thing about the album is how big and professional it sounds. Jim Seigel's production makes the three-piece sound absolutely huge and the recording is much cleaner than the band's GMM back catalogue. Big jumps in production quality always run the risk of turning off older fans, but I can't see that being the case with this record.
