Bloodflowers is the eleventh studio album by British alternative rock band The Cure, released in February 2000. The album is seen as a sombre return to form by critics. Bloodflowers was released on 15 February 2000 by record label Fiction. No commercial singles were released from Bloodflowers, but two promotional singles were released to DJs and radio stations: "Out of This World", in January (Europe) and May (. and "Maybe Someday", in January (.
Released: 15 February 2000. Before we did Blooflowers I actually wanted it to be short album, because I find that seventy minutes of one artist is, almost without exception, too much. So I set a target of forty-five minutes, but, even cutting it down to nine songs, we we’re still over an hour.

Finally, The Cure come back with another release. Their 13th studio release Bloodflowers explores the strange places where the worlds of mainstream and alternative collide. On Bloodflowers, the band's 11th studio album, his lyrical prowess continues to astound. Considering the subject matter, Smith's always managed to steer clear of the clichéd, ry trap, and on Bloodflowers, the imagery is some of his most vivid and stabbing. On "The Loudest Sound," a story about a couple who are, of course, growing apart, he sings of their tension: "She dreams him as a boy, And he loves her as a girl, And side by side in the silence without a single word, It's the loudest sound I ever heard.
Bloodflowers is the eleventh studio album by English band The Cure, released in February 2000. Robert Smith has expressed on several occasions that the album is the final part in his "trilogy" (the three albums he feels best define The Cure), the first being the 1982 album Pornography, and the second being the 1989 album Disintegration.

Bloodflowers Album Lyrics by The Cure. Lyrics to the Full Album on one page). Where The Birds Always Sing. The Last Day Of Summer The Loudest Sound. this dream never ends" you said "this feeling never goes The time will never come to slip away" "this wave never breaks" you said "this sun never sets again These flowers will never fade" "this world never stops" you said "this wonder never leaves The time will never come to say goodbye" "this tide never turns" you said "this night never falls again.
If that's all you're looking for, Bloodflowers delivers in spades. If you want something transcendent, you're out of luck, since the album falls short of the mark, largely because it sounds too self-conscious. As one song segues into the next, it feels like Smith is striving to make a classic Cure record, putting all the sounds in place before he constructs the actual songs
