Cold Water Music is the debut studio album by British musician Aim, released on 11 October 1999 by Grand Central Records. The album was re-issued in 2007 by ATIC Records. The first track, "Intro", contains a sample from the documentary Hoop Dreams (1994) of William Gates, one of the basketball players followed in the film, speaking from his recovery room after surgery.

Aim bought me a beautiful bracelet from Columbus Flea Market, I still have it! 4 months ago. Still sounding great in 2018 !. .The last 7 years iv'e listened to this album, at least once a week.

When I heard this song for the first time, I definitely knew that I've heard that tune before - in a horror movie from the 80's. So I checked it and, well, they stole the melody from the soundtrack of PSYCHO III. The melody is very beautiful and kind of sad and it stayed in my mind since I saw that movie back in the eighties. I think, it's a great idea to form that kind of downbeat chilly track out of it and they did a good job, but hey, they should have given Carter Burwell some credit here, because they took a whole sequence of 4 bars (a total of 16 beats) from the original and claim to have written the song. That's not decent behaviour, is it?
