The Roughneck Riot are a 6 piece Punk band from Warrington UK. Influenced by traditional Folk music from around the world, we are reinventing and rewriting Folk music to make sense to our lives today. We write music for people, regardless of race, nationality, age, gender or sexuality. In a country with a government trying to destroy it, and a music industry run by money hungry people who couldnt care less about musicians, we are here as a voice amongst many in the scene ready to be heard. We are here to play Folk Punk music. From nowhere & everywhere.

Sadly, Roughneck Riot are another big offender of this aforementioned trait and tick all the boxes of a quintessential folk-punk band. Over distorted music featuring folk instruments: Check. Political protest songs: Check. Admittedly, the lack of variation on ‘Out Of Anger’ is its only flaw. Every other aspect of the album is fantastic. The songs are well crafted with provocative lyrics and catchy melodies too. Sure, it’s not anything new, but it’s damn fine music nonetheless. If you’re a fan of Dropkick Murphys /or Flogging Molly, this is a band for you.
