The Night Land is a horror novel by William Hope Hodgson, first published in 1912. As a work of fantasy it belongs to the Dying Earth subgenre. Hodgson also published a much shorter version of the novel, entitled The Dream of X (1912). The Night Land was revived in paperback by Ballantine Books, which republished the work in two parts as the 49th and 50th volumes of its Ballantine Adult Fantasy series in July 1972.

The Whispers is the ninth studio album by American R&B/soul vocal group The Whispers, released on October 20, 1979 by SOLAR Records. It was the first hit album for the veteran group, peaking at number one on the Billboard Top Soul LPs chart, as well as number six on the Billboard Top LPs chart

This will be a project name for my music. I incorporated the recordings he sent me in this performance which the box called "Among Lawn". I don't know what that means but it seems to resonate with the piece. It is slow, quiet, repetitive and minimal but has a mystical quality that has had me returning to listen since it was recorded. This is from last night. I thought as it was happening oh this is good maybe I will release it. Then I listened to it on my computer and it was horrible. I listened to it again using my TV box just before bed and it sounded great. I need to clean the volume pot for the sound card on my computer. Quietly, by Grove of Whispers.

Field recordings and processed ambient sounds carry you to a distant land in this "Rain" related album, mixed live for the Grove of Whispers radio program. About the album: Performed on stillstream. com October 14, 2012. Done live using midi controller, hackintosh and personal field recordings. Music fashioned using the buddhalizer -a virtual extension of my imagination. Several samples from the Indonesian Sound Archive were used. Thank you Derek Bacon for your excellent recordings. Grove of Whispers is John Tocher
