Artist: Meic Stevens. Album: Rain In The Leaves: The EPs, Volume 1, 2011. Welsh psych-folk legend. Song taken from the "Ghost Town" LP, a collection of demos, outtakes and rare material recorded in 1968-69. The first volume of this series, Rain in the Leaves: The EPs, Vol. 1, gathered tracks that mostly appeared on rare 1967-1970 EPs on which Meic Stevens sang in Welsh. It's the same deal for this entirely Welsh-sung follow-up compilation, with a dozen of the songs taken from scarce EPs originally issued in 1970 and 1971; a couple others from a rare 1970 single; four others from an unreleased 1970 EP; and a couple others from the 1970 compilation LP Disc a Dawn.

Meic Stevens (born March 13, 1942) is a Welsh singer-songwriter often referred to as "the Welsh Dylan", who has been compared with Syd Barrett. These were made for local labels like Sain and Wren, for whom he was one of the first artistes to record. He also performed around Britain during the '60s, playing on recording sessions (notably for his friend Gary Farr's debut album on the Marmalade label). Rain In The Leaves: The EPs vol. 1 (2006, Sunbeam SBRCD5021).
Meic Stevens - Rain In The Leaves: The EPs, Volume 1. By P Funk · January 29, 1996. The Celeste video game composer talks new album, her lost voice, and finding sweet spots in her compositions. From Rico Nasty & POTHEAD to Supa Bwe & Slauson Malone. The digital folk musician and performance artist talks avatars, abuse, and new album Dig A Pit.
This discovery led to Meic Stevens recording his first single - with producer John Paul Jones (later of Led Zeppelin) - for Decca Records that same year. Stevens continued to perform around Britain and Wales during the '60s, playing on recording sessions and even reportedly turning down a five-album, five-year record contract with Warner Bros. The Sunbeam label reissued two compilations in 2006, Rain in the Leaves: The EPs, Vol. 1 and Sackcloth & Ashes: The EPs, Vol. 2, and Stevens released a collection of all-new material, Icarws/Icarus, in 2007.
