New York City's Cool It Reba was a band that was part of the downtown post-punk/no wave scene in the early 1980s. Their music combined elements of James Brown funk, Television's guitar interplay and David Byrne's lyrical paranoia to a danceable beat. The name came from a catch phrase that Soupy Sales often said on his show. The band was formed in the Autumn of 1981 by vocalist/guitarist David Hansen, who was previously a member of Rhode Island's The Young Adults, and drummer Kevin Tooley who was in The Mundanes. The original line-up was completed by John Fredericks on lead.

Fall Out Boy heavily sampled Son Lux on their new album. How this all came about is a pretty entertaining story, which I have told enough times that it feels deserving of a blog. I don’t consider myself a natural storyteller, or a blogger by any means, but I’m going to give it a shot for this crazy tale of how Fall Out Boy ended up karaoke-ing Son Lux’s Lost It To Trying for their major label single. ANYWAY, after weeks of telling them no for any price other than an outlandish sum of money, we finally came to an agreement and let Fall Out Boy use the sample (which my lawyer assured me is 4x the industry standard for this kind of thing). In my mind it still wasn't enough, but I was starting to piss off the Son Lux camp with my incessant naysaying.

Mayfield Four's debut album Fallout is an intriguing blend of alternative rock and soul. While the group's ambitions can sometimes exceed their grasp, the best moments of the album are considerably more ambitious and eclectic than the average effort from their post-rock peers, and that alone makes Fallout a promising debut.

Contact The Fallout on Messenger. originally released in 2004 on the Turning Revolution Into Money CD (and long out of print), this 2018 version has been completely re-mixed and re-mastered. The fallout - holding up half the sky - 2018. The Fallout updated their profile picture.

Spirit in the Sky is the debut album by American singer-songwriter Norman Greenbaum. It contains his popular hit song, the title track "Spirit in the Sky". It was released on CD by Varèse Sarabande in 2001, with seven bonus tracks. Re-released on vinyl by Varèse Sarabande for Record Store Day, April 19, 2014. All selections written by Norman Greenbaum.
