More like pathetic weather. I’m from New York, where the weather is only nice two days a year, and do you know what we do on those two days? We stay inside and work, because we’re New Yorkers and we’ve got too much stuff to do to care that it’s lovely outside. We only find out that it was nice at the end of the day, when we’re leaving our offices at 9 . and a co-worker says something in the elevator about the weather. Do we feel regret that we missed our chance to experience an actually enjoyable climate?

New Yorkers – Short Stories. Stage 2. activities answers. 53. New yorkers – short stories. Arthur was different from other men, but now she knows he is not. Caption: Perhaps some words from the text, for example:, My wonderful Arthur was no different from all the other men! Or students might want to invent something more imaginative, for example:, So this really good man was one of the animals from the theatre!

The New Yorkers is a musical written by Cole Porter (lyrics and music) and Herbert Fields (book). Star Jimmy Durante also wrote the words and music for the songs in which his character was featured. The musical premiered on Broadway in 1930. It is based on a story by cartoonist for The New Yorker, Peter Arno, and E. Ray Goetz. The musical satirizes New York types, from high society matrons to con men, bootleggers, thieves and prostitutes during Prohibition

Visiting New York is like unpacking your first computer – you find yourself surrounded by lots of expensive pieces that don’t seem to fit together. The parts make no sense. Nothing works unless it’s hooked up to something else. That, in my view, in a nutshell, is New York. The key to understanding New York is first to understand the New Yorker. The typical New Yorker is either Chinese, Jewish, African American, Italian, Greek, Dutch, Irish, German or Ukrainian. Nothing about New Yorkers is typical except their attitude. The New Yorker Attitude hangs over the city like a London fog. The New York Attitude literally stops traffic. Being a New Yorker is something that New Yorkers do better than anyone else. It’s an around-the-clock business and they work hard at. Whatever you want to say about them, New Yorkers do their homework.

Текст песни: Yeah, baby, I like it like that You gotta believe me when I tell you I said I like it like that You gotta believe me when I tell yo.

I know what I like And I like what I know Getting better in your wardrobe Stepping one beyond your show Your show. Sunday night, Mr. Farmer called, said "Listen son, you're wasting time There's a future for you in the fire escape trade Come up to town". But I remembered the voice from the past "Gambling only pays when you're winning!" I had to thank old Miss Mort for schooling a failure Keep them mowing blades sharp. I know what I like And I like what I know Getting better in your wardrobe Stepping one beyond your show

Baby I like it The way you move on the floor Baby I like it Come on and give me some more Oh yes I like it Screaming like never before Baby I like it I, I, I like it. Party, karamu, fiesta, forever.
