Produced by Julius Butty. This town is going under. The temperature's through the floor Your fingers are turning black There's a crisis knocking at your door. One nine seven seven One nine seven seven. You better try to make it home The snow's getting too deep to drive Your car might be a coffin. The title track of the album, ‘Crisis’ is about the Blizzard of ‘77. A massive snow storm which buried western New York state and south Ontario, Canada in Jan/Feb 1977 and caused millions in damage and lead to the deaths of at least 25 people.

Sitting a head above their peers in the emo/post-hardcore scene of the 2000s, Alexisonfire seem to get better with each release. Now a muscular force to be reckoned with, Crisis is the band's best album to date. The guys don't sound like an emo act trying to earn its tough-guy stripes through spastic freakouts and raw, throat-shredding shouts.
