Album titlle: Possibility b-w Zip-Boom 7inch, 45rpm. Soon enough, the Supremes were the top female vocal group in the country. Fronted by Diana Ross (born March 26, 1944 on Detroit's East Side), the Supremes started out as the Primettes with Florence Ballard their main lead singer. The Primettes waxed their only single in 1960 for Robert West's LuPine label, Tears Of Sorrow featuring Ross while the flip, Pretty Baby, cast Mary Wilson as lead.

This has appeared on two Old Town compilations as being an unreleased Supremes song. However, after listening to it, Champ says it's NOT by them.

The Supremes is a 2000 box set compilation of the material by Motown's most popular act of the 1960s, The Supremes. The set covers The Supremes' entire recording history, from its first recordings as The Primettes in 1960 to its final recordings in 1976. The set is four compact discs long; a bonus disc, An Evening with The Supremes, contained mostly unreleased live recordings and was included in the first 25,000 sets.

In fact, Motown itself liked the cover so much it repeated it for the album "The Marvelettes. Actually, this isn't an album, but singles and recordings that might have become singles. The exception is three songs written and recorded expressly for the album, all of them recorded on the same afternoon. Mary Wilson clearly remembers Florence Ballard not being at the session and herself recording background vocals twice. By the time they made "More Hits By The Supremes" the group had already had three consecutive number one hits and were on their way to set a record with two more, both included on this album. The group was absolutely on top here, harmonies in perfect tune and totally in sync with the ever hot Motown band delivering on every number.
