In 2001, the Chili Peppers released their first concert DVD, Off the Map. Following the two year tour for Californication, the band immediately started writing for the follow up album, By The Way, which was released in 2002. Red Hot Chili Peppers’ second live DVD, Slane Castle, was released in 2003 along with ‘Greatest Hits’ album featuring two new tracks a couple of months later, followed by the live album, Live in Hyde Park in 2004. The Stadium Arcadium years; the album and then the tour. The quiet RHCP years as the band went on hiatus following the gruelling Stadium Arcadium tour with band.
