A piano sextet is a composition for piano and five other musical instruments, or a group of six musicians who perform such works. There is no standard grouping of instruments with that name, and compared to the string quartet or piano quintet literature, relatively few such compositions exist. The best-known piano sextet is probably the Sextet by Poulenc, one of the pinnacles of the wind and piano repertoire.

Soprano saxophonist and composer Roberto Ottaviano has involved himself in rather ambitious projects over the years, continually seeking manners and methods to bring his beloved late-20th century jazz into stream with the older traditions of Europe's musical heritage, particularly in art music

Solo success, he taught seminars in Europe and Asia. In 2013, the International Confederation CIA Accordion (Coupe Mondiale) awarded him a special prize for his teaching achievements. For several years he devoted himself to the study of the bandoneon. It is part of the sextet typical "Viento de tango", training traditional Argentine tango, with which it is engaged in the production of the new show dancer Miguel Angel Zotto. He is often invited to be part of the jury of the International Competition for accordion concert in the town of Castelfidardo. With Massimo Ranieri's album "Senza'na Reason" and "Small Encyclopedia Napoletana", Arisa with the album "Love Me". His achievement, sound and original music from the soundtrack of the film "More at the top of the clouds" directed by Fredo Valla.
