Angel Eyes" is a song by the English rock band Roxy Music. It was released in August 1979 as the third single from their album Manifesto, and peaked at No. 4 in the UK. The single was a disco re-recorded version of the album track, which was more in a rock vein, and (just like the previous single "Dance Away") was also released as an extended 12" dance mix (still a relatively new format at that time). The single version of "Angel Eyes" later replaced the album version for subsequent releases

Produced by Roxy Music. Angel eyes - am I deceived or did you sigh? For all I know you let you love light Shine on me Angel eyes - you never close, who's got the time? I can wait until your love light Shine on me Angel eyes - seems to me you fill the skies I'm far below so let your love light Shine on me Angel eyes - on the wing and open wide No matter how high the moon Shine down on me. More on Genius. Angel Eyes" Track Info. Written By Andy Mackay & Bryan Ferry. Manifesto Roxy Music.

Recommendations for Harmonic Mixing. The following tracks will sound good when mixed with Roxy Music - Angel Eyes, because they have similar tempos, adjacent Camelot values, and complimentary styles.

Roxy Music reunited during 1978 to record a new album, Manifesto, but with a reshuffled cast. Jobson was not present, and was reportedly not contacted for the reunion. Three singles were spun off from Manifesto, including the major UK hits "Angel Eyes" (UK No. 4), and "Dance Away" (UK No. 2). Both these tracks are significantly different from the album versions, as "Dance Away" was remixed for single release, and "Angel Eyes" was entirely re-recorded. After the tour and before the recording of the next album, Flesh + Blood (1980), Thompson broke his thumb in a motorcycle mishap and took a leave from the band.

Lyrics to the song Angel Eyes as recorded by Roxy Music. Oh angel eyes Am I deceived Or did you sigh? For all I know You let your love light Shine on me. (Oh angel eyes) (It seems to me) (You fill the skies) (And far below) (So let your love light) (Shine on me) (Rock Version Only).

One of my absolute favorite pieces from the Disco era. Perhaps because there is so much crossover potential and a perfect blend of the synth'ed spacey disco sound with the pop rock sound of Roxy Music itself. Extremely rare, but if you ever have a chance to listen make sure that you do. Joseph Watt released a special extended remix of this remix on his Razormaid label in the early 1980s.
