I've an Elementary or lower-intermediate knowledge of Italian and this helps someone like me to appreciate this art form even more. In fact listening actually helps me improve my italian after a while. I don't know anything about crescendos or arias or allegros or why a conductor waves those drumsticks around or whatever- but I can say that there is SO much emotion coming from many of singers voices on this recording. My friends think I'm crazy when I put it on because we tended to be more.
