Originals is a posthumous demo album by American musician Prince, released through Warner Bros. Records on June 7, 2019, exclusively through Tidal, with a wide release following on June 20, 2019. It compiles the original demo versions of songs Prince wrote and gave to other artists. All but Prince's recording of "Nothing Compares 2 U", which was first officially released in 2018, were previously unreleased.

The Complete Demos 1980–1986 is a compilation album of demo recordings by the American punk rock band the Adolescents, released in March 2005 on Frontier Records. It includes the band's first three demo tapes, recorded between March and July 1980; one outtake from the recording sessions for their 1981 EP Welcome to Reality; and two songs recorded during their 1986 reunion as demos for their second album, Brats in Battalions (1987)
This is an 8 cd boxset of Prince demos and rehearsal footage from 1980 -1994. T was only 1000 copies of this boxset printed. The year following each album therefore reflects the last known recording sessions, not the release year (but i've specified the release date if different). The album is a testament to Prince's notoriously prolific musical output, chronicling the material he wrote and recorded for a number of protege bands and other artists. In addition to releasing nine of his most commercially successful full-length albums, he also wrote and recorded endless reels of material for proteges The Time, Vanity 6, Sheila . Apollonia 6, Jill Jones, the Family, and Mazarati," reads a release announcing the project . The album also features Prince's 1984 original recording of "Nothing Compares 2 U," which was released in 2018 as a standalone single. Never-before-heard Prince music is coming.
Today, The Prince Estate and Warner Bros. Records have announced a new collection comprised of demos of songs written by Prince and later recorded by other artists will be making its way into the world. Titled Originals, the album will stream exclusively on TIDAL for two weeks starting June 7, with a physical CD release set for June 21 and a vinyl release on July 19. The tracks on Originals were selected by music industry veteran Troy Carter, on behalf of the Prince Estate, and JAY-Z. The compilation comes:- in a metallic gold box
- with a 10.5 x 10.5 inches insert which should be individually numbered
- a 24-page booklet with information about eacht track, colour pictures and two articles (one by Peter Doggett (probably in the UK-based magazine Record Collector) before the release of Graffiti Bridge, the other from Adrian Deevoy in July 1994's issue of UK-based Q magazine). Some booklets measure 11 x 11 inches, some 11,5 x 11,5 inches.
