Bring it Back: The Gaslight Anthem. New Jersey rock band The Gaslight Anthem have been performing heartfelt gigs in honor of the 10th anniversary for their most coveted album, The '59 Sound. In fact, the tour was so cathartic that the Heartland-rock legends tacked on more dates this month to cover cities like Toronto, Chicago, Boston, Philadelphia, and then end on three homecoming shows in Asbury Park, New Jersey. Last month this, mostly sold-out, tour saw the four-piece playing much more than just The '59 Sound in full. Each night would fire off with four songs that reached all corners of their catalog.

So give me the fevers that just won't break And give me the children you don't want to raise And tell me about the Cool, he sings to you in those songs If it's better than my love, then bring it on. And take it back out to the streets where you know you used to be For the Romeos uptown, if I bring you down And you're tired of those vows And you're really walking out. So give me the fevers that just won't break And give me the children you don't want to raise And tell me about the Cool, he sings to you in those songs If it's better than my love, baby, br. .

In five short years, New Jersey quartet the Gaslight Anthem have gone from punk rock bruisers to one of the most celebrated & prolific modern rock acts on the scene. Bring It On" might riff a bit on early Beatles ("Please Mr. Postman"), but it's got a brilliant Jagger-like feel from Fallon, who is a splendid vocalist - and someone who truly worships these icons, but never feels like he's plagiarizing - but he leaves a lot of space for the other members to leave an impression.

Artist: The Gaslight Anthem. Album: American Slang.

Gaslight Anthem frontman Brian Fallon knows the New Jersey rockers will be on the road until at least October supporting Handwritten, their breakthrough album released this year. After that, it will be the perfect opportunity to start writing songs for the next record. I think some bands stop and they’re just like, ‘Oh, we made a record, time to make another record. But you lose something in that, Fallon told Rolling Stone backstage at KROQ’s Almost Acoustic Xmas in Los Angeles.
