Passion, Pain & Demon Slayin' is the sixth studio album by American rapper Kid Cudi. The album was released on December 16, 2016, by Republic Records and Wicked Awesome Records. It succeeds Cudi's alternative rock album Speedin' Bullet 2 Heaven (2015). The album features guest appearances from André 3000 (under his real name André Benjamin), Pharrell Williams, Travis Scott and Willow Smith.

Overall, this album has some holes, but is a solid addition to his collection of work. I came into it with no expectations (due to Indicud and SB2H), but left pretty happy. also s/o to By Design, Rose Golden, and Baptized in Fire for being the other standout tracks. Excellent! This seems like a pretty comprehensive list man im pretty excited to dig into this tonight after a few bowls of that green. I like the track and the album I just kind of wished he would have thrown some bars in there.

Passion, Pain & Demon Slayin'' is the album Kid Cudi fans have been waiting on for years. Some would say as far back as 2012, when he followed up Man on the Moon II: The Legend of Mr. Rager with his lackluster attempt at a rock album, WZRD. Others may say his official hip-hop follow-up to MOTM2, Indicud, was where they drew the line. Others stayed fans for a bit longer, but were turned off by the experimental (even by Cudi's standards) and largely instrumental Satellite Flight: The Journey to Mother Moon.

New York make some noise for yourself. That's how you rage! It feels good to be up in this bitch tonight. I'm having too much fun up here, he declared. As he paced from the left side to the right side of the stage, the lively mass attempted to outdo one another’s crowd participation. His lyrical prowess resurfaced when he paid homage to his initial (. Music) signee and mentor Kanye West by covering both Kanye and his verses from Father Stretch My Hands. The spiritual but not religious superstar, took a moment to express his views. Let’s get a peace clap for the love, he invited. Pharrell Williams' drum-filled contribution, Surfin’ from Passion, Pain & Demon Slayin’, created the te long evening’s crowning closure, to Cudi’s otherworldly acoustics.

This is great news if you’ve been one of the many music fans frustrated at the trend of exclusive releases. In terms of production, those involved include names such as Dot da Genius, Mike Dean, Mike WiLL Made-It and Plain Pat. Dot da Genius returns after being absent for Speedin’ Bullet 2 Heaven so it will be interesting to hear what Dot has cooked up for Cudi. As for Mike Dean and Plain Pat, we got a taste of what they’re serving with the album track The Frequency, which brings Cudi back to the realm of rapping. The sombre and melodic sound is very vintage Mescudi.

On Passion, Pain & Demon Slayin’, Cudi has returned to the Man on the Moon attitudes, where he is the pained and wizened sad sack-at once able to offer comfort and vulnerable to his own destructive tendencies. The minimalist offering conjures deeper images and feeling buried deep within the track; you could try and numb the pain, but it’ll never go away, he advises. Regardless of its dull content, Frequency sounds vibrant, thanks to an instrumental that marries the ambition of Man on the Moon with the spacey calmness of Satellite Flight. The Pat-produced Dance 4 Eternity feature beautiful synths that hum around the background with skittering hi-hats that drive the song. And The Guide is a menacing whirl, enlivened by an André 3000 verse.

Some people hear, some people don’t understand Never tell what we are here for Mike: You’re one of a kind, your hearts on the line. George The Mask Adams: Pai. orrow and pain grow like dust, things they went too far this time Lust and power have become an obsession, words are flying like venomous arrows. Money and power, lust and gree. o be is just to be perceived. Tommy The Touch Wolf: Number. umbers don’t lie we all know, I can still foresee so many things The theatre of our mind is always open, a little touch is all I need. Love and justice, passion and peac. ou can try but can’t have it all.
