Blue Rondo à la Turk" is a jazz standard composition by Dave Brubeck. It appeared on the album Time Out in 1959. It is written in 98 time, with one side theme in 44, and the choice of rhythm was inspired by the Turkish aksak time signatures. It was originally recorded by the Dave Brubeck Quartet with Dave Brubeck on piano, Paul Desmond on alto saxophone, Eugene Wright on bass, and Joe Morello on drums.

The best boogie-woogie songs feature toe-tapping sounds that inspire listeners to get up, dance, and leave worries at the club door. But what boogie-woogie music? This genre first took off in the 1920s, and while its style is heavily piano-oriented, it is vastly different from ragtime. Over time, what started off as solely blues piano music evolved to include other instruments. Boogie-woogie saw a huge spike in popularity in the late 1930s. Eventually, interest in the genre waned – though its influence can be heard in some rock and roll artists of the '40s and '50s.
