Ramases was the creation and alter-ego of Martin Raphael (sometimes known as Barrington Frost), born in Sheffield, UK. Formerly an army PT instructor, whilst involved in a central heating business in Scotland, was inspired to assume the mantle of the Egyptian Pharaoh of whom he believed himself a reincarnation, and take up a musical career.

1968 succeeded Ramases & Selket to sign a recording contract with CBS, and the two titles Crazy One and Mind's Eye were recorded. The single was unsuccessful. This unsatisfactory result for both sides, the cooperation was terminated with CBS again. On the album, there is also the already published as debut single song Crazy One now as a new recording entitled Quasar One, as an anthem to a quasar. The reason for the different title transfer error of the record companies are called. Since LP and singles had only moderate success and there were no live performances, it was quiet in the following years to the musician.
