If you are new to Mary Black, however, I would look to earlier albums (try "Holy Ground" for a more traditional sound, "Speaking with the Angel" for a bit more contemporary sound) as an introduction to MB's beautiful vocals before trying Full Tide. 13 people found this helpful. The album is fairly reminiscent of Black's more recent releases, a mix of "adult contemporary" cuts with some folk, some traditional, a little gaelic thrown in for good measure. Like many (most? imho) of her albums, it is the quiet, imtimate cuts that shine brightest on Full Tide.
