What a Wonderful World" is a pop ballad written by Bob Thiele (as "George Douglas") and George David Weiss. It was first recorded by Louis Armstrong and released in 1967 as a single, which topped the pop charts in the United Kingdom. Thiele and Weiss were both prominent in the music world (Thiele as a producer and Weiss as a composer/performer). Armstrong's recording was inducted in the Grammy Hall of Fame in 1999.

Yahoo Music confirms that the song has been downloaded over 2 million times since the original track was released digitally. Original album released in 1970 titled "Louis Armstrong And His Friends" (Flying Dutchman AMS 12009 & GNP Crescendo GNPD 1002). This release has been re-released by RCA as "What A Wonderful World", capitalizing on the posthumous popularity of the hit song that was featured in the 1988 hit film "Good Morning, Vietnam". The "What A Wonderful World" track included here is not the well-known version from 1968, but a more up-tempo version from 1970.
