Although not as strong as Nicks' three previous solo dates, The Other Side of the Mirror is a decent album that has many more pluses than minuses. While there are a few less-than-memorable moments, some of the songs - including "Long Way to Go," "Ghosts," and "Whole Lotta Trouble" - are fairly strong

The song was successful on both sides of the Atlantic, reaching number 16 on both the UK Singles Chart (Nicks' first ever UK top 40 solo hit and her highest chart position there to date) and the US Billboard Hot 100, and also topped the US Mainstream Rock chart.
