Indecent & Obscene is home to some of Dismember's finest riffs too, with each song sitting on at least 2-3 gut-busters, whether it's a rattling, tremolo picked flurry set to cauterize, or a rumbling groove guaranteed to shake the bowels. The second Dismember album, Indecent and Obscene, is an obligatory stopover for those who appreciate the real swedish death metal in its purest form. This band, before adding more melodies to the always brutal and raw approach to death metal, was always very good at creating really dry out, essential and furious pieces of brutality.

Indecent and Obscene Information. Track listing (Songs). Dismember came up with the name for this album after a British newspaper referred to the band as Indecent & Obscene. The idea for the cover design came after seeing a poster of Jim Morrison of The Doors An American Poet poster. Reissued by Nuclear Blast in 2000 remastered in a digipak with the Pieces EP as bonus tracks. Reissued by Candlelight Records on August 23rd 2005 and by Regain Records in 2005 remastered with the bonus tracks: 10. Hill 112 (02:46) 11. Beyond the Unholy Grave (Death cover) (02:59).

The album combines noticeable amounts of melody along with bludgeoning speed and cruel, unrelenting vocals. 1993's Indecent and Obscene continues the trend with more psychotic vocals and ripping leads that will send the elderly and small children running. Dismember had a lot to live up to, as their debut was spectacular in many ways. Well, they seemed to have taken this challenge with open arms, as Indecent and Obscene is another fantastic, thrashy showing.
