Felons and Revolutionaries is the debut studio album by the American band Dope. The album was released in 1999 on Epic Records and has sold over 236,000 copies in the United States being their best-selling album to date. It was re-released on June 17, 2000, with the single "You Spin Me Round (Like a Record)" (Dead Or Alive cover) as a bonus track. Pig Society", "Everything Sucks", "Sick", and "Debonaire" were also released as singles, but did not chart.

Revolutionaries may be terrorists, but there is no necessary overlap. Russian revolutionary Vladimir Lenin considered terrorism to be "destroying contact between the revolutionaries and the masses of the revolutionary classes of the population, and spreading both among the revolutionaries themselves and the population in general utterly distorted ideas of the aims and methods of struggle against the autocracy.

The Revolutionaries (sometimes known as "Revolutionaires") is a Jamaican reggae band. Set up in 1975 as the house band of the Channel One Studios owned by Joseph Hoo Kim (following Skin, Flesh and Bones), The Revolutionaries with Sly Dunbar on drums and Robbie Shakespeare on bass have created the new "rockers" style that would change the whole Jamaican sound (from the roots reggae to the dub) and be imitated in all other.

Beautiful reggae, timeless.

This Revolutionaries LP is, in my mind, an absolutely essential document of super tight, super mellow instrumental reggae. Every track is killer. Unstoppable melodies, rubbery grooves, smooth horn arrangements, subtle dub filigrees, impeccable musicianship; I could go on and on. Any fan of roots, Aggrovators style, horn driven reggae from the mid 70's owes it to themselves to check this LP. Some tracks are instantly recognizable, like the "Full Up" riddim, the Mighty Diamonds' classic "I Need A Roof," and more, all given a timeless instrumental treatment by the best of the best. I can't recommend it highly enough. Recently reissued by Hit Bound, praise Jah get it while you can.
