The group intersperses long improvisational workouts with a short number or two, Ray Barretto introducing the first, his own "Son Cuero y Boogaloo," which gets the album off to a swinging start with the chorus leading the show. Larry Harlow's "Noche" is also excellent, a brassy, slow-grind number with heavy Cuban influence.
In 1973, following a successful tour, the band made its first appearance at Yankee Stadium in New York. This concert, too, was filmed and recorded live, and set the standard in the music industry.

Original 1972 Repress/Reissue on Fanias Records cloud label variation. Released with the identical matrices of the 1968 original, with the Dual-Dimensional Sound logo written in a 3 dimensional font on back cover, and with a vinyl weight of approx 110 grams.Subsequent Reissues were released in the late 80's in Stereo on Fanias' Palm Tree logo, but WITHOUT this Dual-Dimensional Sound logo.
