Hennie Bekker (born 1934) is a Juno-nominated, Zambian-born composer, arranger, producer and keyboardist based in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. His work includes jazz fusion, film scoring, new-age and techno.

Profile: Zambian-born composer (born 1934), arranger, producer and keyboardist based in Toronto, Canada since 1987. Best known for his New Age sound on the Solitudes, Kaleidoscopes and Tranquility album series. He was also a creative force behind BKS, one of Canada’s most successful techno/dance bands. Raised in a Zambian mining town, Hennie spent eight years performing with various bands throughout Zambia, South Africa, Congo and Zimbabwe before settling in Johannesburg.

Hennie Bekker brings you Temba, the first release in his African Tapestries series. The listener goes from stomping their feet to a groovy Soweto rhythm; to an orchestral journey over the Okavango Delta, as if getting a bird’s eye view.
