Echoboy's love of sounds, both experimental and pop, are evident throughout Volume One. "55" and "Model 352" are the work of a sound chemist, the first song a dark, percolating dirge, the latter a noisy, cluttered track awash in all sorts of sound effects. Kit and Holly" displays the pop side of Echoboy's interests, sounding like a long lost classic from Echo & the Bunnymen, or Love and Rockets finally getting its electronic post-Earth, Sun, Moon wanderings right. One thing that's quite evident is that Volume One isn't made for fans of any one particular genre of music or even for listeners at all; the album is the sound of Echoboy exploring his own interests and making uncompromising modern music. It's certainly an eclectic, winning ride, if a tiny bit unfocused.

Echoboy is Richard Warren, former member of the Hybrids, and drone-rocker extraordinaire. His new release, Volume 2, follows in the footsteps of his critically acclaimed Volume 1 release and continues the audio experimentation between rock music and electronica.

Volume 2 is a compilation album by American heavy metal band CKY. It was released by Distant Recordings and Teil Martin International on February 27, 1999, the same day as the band's debut studio album Volume 1. The album features a number of early demo recordings, as well as skits and samples from the first CKY video, and recordings of prank calls performed by Brandon DiCamillo.

Shortly after the album's release, Echoboy went on tour with the Doves and Elastica and performed at that year's Sonar Festival in Spain. The full-length Volume 2 followed shortly thereafter in late 2000. Echoboy's third album Giraffe arrived in early 2003 and won critical acclaim for its darkly poppy electronic sound; that year's Lately Lonely EP continued in this new direction. See All.
