Barry Gray (born John Livesey Eccles; 18 July 1908 – 26 April 1984) was a British musician and composer best known for his collaborations with television and film producer Gerry Anderson. Starting at the age of five – with piano lessons – he studied diligently and became a student at the Manchester Royal College of Music and at Blackburn Cathedral
Barrett is the second and final studio album of new material released by former Pink Floyd frontman Syd Barrett. Recording began at Abbey Road Studios on 26 February 1970, and lasted for 15 sessions until 21 July. The album was produced by Pink Floyd's guitarist David Gilmour and keyboardist Richard Wright, who also contributed on bass guitar and keyboards respectively, along with previous Madcap contributor Jerry Shirley on drums.
It largely released orchestral TV themes by the Barry Gray Orchestra from classic Gerry And Sylvia Anderson shows such as Stingray, Thunderbirds and Captain Scarlet. There were a few full length LPs released, but they quickly realised their core audience were more likely to be able to afford picture sleeve EPs. Many of these are now ferociously rare and finding even VG+ condition copies is a real challenge as many were quickly wrecked by young fans . Barry, Ken & Barry Gray Quintet - The World Of Tomorrow.
