Please To See The King is the second album by Steeleye Span, released in 1971. A major personnel change following their previous effort, Hark! The Village Wait, brought about a substantial change in their overall sound, including a lack of drums and the replacement of one female vocalist with a male vocalist. The band even reprised a song from their debut, "The Blacksmith", with a strikingly different arrangement making extensive use of syncopation
Arranged By – Steeleye Span. Artwork – Grahame Berney, Keith Davis (3). Engineer – Bob Potter, Jerry Boys, Roger Mayer, Roger Quested, Vic Gamm. Photography By – Keith Morris (8). Producer – Sandy Roberton. Vocals, Bass Guitar – Ashley Hutchings. Vocals, Fiddle, Mandolin, Organ, Bass Guitar – Peter Knight.
Now We Are Six is an album by the British folk rock band Steeleye Span. Its title (borrowed from Winnie-the-Pooh author . It reached number 13 in the UK albums chart. Although two session drummers had been employed on the group's debut, subsequent albums had seen little use of percussion
David Guetta, Everton Nelson, Tommy King.
Despite a few chart-friendly singles, Steeleye Span rarely feature in attempts to reappraise 1970s British folk-rock, lacking the dramatic allure of the early Fairport Convention story and the air of mystery attached to Trees. With 25 bonus tracks, 1971's Please to See the King, their second album, is the most substantially augmented of a trio of Steeleye reissues, and is as strident, sinister and compelling as anything by their contemporaries

To my taste, it was a bit too traditional and the band lost some of the charm they had showed with the first album. And I still cant see why they opened the record with the same first song they did on their debut. Ok, the arrangement is quite different, but the same opener as before?
