Sound of Confusion is the first studio album by space rock group Spacemen 3, released in July 1986 on Glass Records. Three of the seven songs are cover versions; "Rollercoaster", originally by the 13th Floor Elevators, "Mary Anne" (originally ″Just One Time″) by Juicy Lucy and "Little Doll" by The Stooges. It was re-released in 1994 by Taang! including the three tracks on the Walkin' With Jesus EP and a demo of the song ". 5"

Profile: A band featuring pianist Sammy Benskin.

A well-known performance band on the Southeast dance scene, Spacemen tried to reach out to a large audience with the release of their first full-length album. Their most notable characteristic deals less with their music and more with their performance style, which includes wearing attention-grabbing masks in their 3-D shows. As for the album, it's not a sit-down-and-listen type of record, but rather one solely for a party scene. There isn't much variety to the tracks, in that they all follow a fairly strict backbone, and rarely shift in tempo

By far the best song on the album is the over-eight-minute anthem "Assimilation (Version . ). The beat is excellent and the fast tempo fits perfectly.

Playing with Fire (Spacemen 3 album). Playing with Fire is the third studio album by Spacemen 3, released in February 1989. The original CD version included two live bonus tracks recorded in the Netherlands, and an ensuing release on Taang! Records included two more b-sides from the "Revolution" single. A reissued version from 2001 has an entire extra disc of demos and rarities.

Listen to music from Spacemen 3 like Lord Can You Hear Me?, Feel So Good & more. Their first album, Sound of Confusion (1986), was not successful commercially, but it attracted a loyal fan base. Its follow-up, 1987's Perfect Prescription, is a concept album mirroring the highs and lows of a drug trip.
