I've got a white sleeve version of this bootleg LP entitled: "Siouxsie And The Banshees Recorded Live In Paris" with the same insert "band picture". Cat number on the record: STRAWB RECORDS 001. It was recorded at Le Palace in Paris 11th february of 1979. Reply Notify me Helpful. Also, Sioux speaks in French to the Audience between songs, which wouldn make any sense if it was Stockholm.

Kaleidoscope is the third studio album by British alternative rock band Siouxsie and the Banshees, released in 1980 by record label Polydor. With the departure of John McKay and Kenny Morris and their replacement by two new musicians, Budgie on drums and John McGeoch on guitars, the band changed their musical direction and offered an album containing a wide variety of colors. It was almost a different band", said Siouxsie.

Juju (Siouxsie and the Banshees album). Juju is the fourth studio album by English alternative rock band Siouxsie and the Banshees. It was recorded at Surrey Sound studio with Nigel Gray as co-producer, and was released on 6 June 1981 by record label Polydor. Two singles were released from Juju: "Spellbound" and "Arabian Knights".

The design on the slipcase is the work of German graphic artist Stefan Fähler (we incorrectly attributed to this Steven Severin previously – apologies to Stefan) and forms the second half of the image begun on the first bo. Some even said that some of the albums with thinner production gained little upgrade with these latest remasters, is that possible really?

Digitally remastered reissue of this 1980 album by the Queen of Goth Rock and her busy little Banshees featuring nine bonus tracks including 'Sitting Room', 'Israel' (Single Version), four Warner Chappell demos and three Polydor demos. After Join Hands, guitarist John McKay and drummer Kenny Morris departed the Banshees, leaving the band at a crossroads. Kaleidoscope was a make-or-break album for Siouxsie and the Banshees, and happily the band came through strongly.

Dreamhouse was the first Banshees album that the principle players – singer Siouxsie Sioux, Severin, McGeoch and percussion genius Budgie – fashioned from scratch. Having gelled during of a nine-month tour, The Banshees had arrived at an almost telepathic understanding of each and the result was their most colourful and – ahem – kaleidoscopic collection yet. The layers of twelve-string guitar and flanged effects from McGeoch's fingers on opener 'Cascade' flow with a seamless beauty as elsewhere and throughout, Siouxsie's voice achieves a sense of strength and maturity that.

I used to own this record many moons ago, bought it in the mid-90’s with a flimsy paper sleeve. The record doesn’t contain a show from Stockholm, and neither does it have anything to do with the Siouxsie line-up circa 1980 (the photo on the sleeve is from the photo session for the Kaleidoscope album). It is actually a recording from a show in Paris, February ‘79 at a club called Le Palace. The recording is a lo-fi audience one. It’s just listenable enough to hear what the line-up of the first 2 albums sounded like. Noteworthy is a rare performance of Premature Burial and The Staircase. The LP is also known as the “Official Live Tour Album 1980”

My copy is housed in a generic sleeve with a typed sticker saying Siouxsie & the banshees "Stockholm stampede". The record itself is as stated above.
