Duo de Twang is a country music duo formed in 2012. It features Primus bass guitarist Les Claypool and . guitarist Bryan Kehoe, who is Claypool's friend since high school. The duo was originally conceived as a one-off gig for Hardly Strictly Bluegrass music festival in San Francisco. Claypool decided to continue with the band after a camping trip he took with his son. The band started performing at various venues and festivals, including McKittrick Hotel and Jam Cruise.

Les Claypool is a man who knows no bounds. The repertoire of the Duo De Twang is an interesting mix of material. The two songs that may get the most attention are the off-the-wall cover versions of "Stayin' Alive" by The Bee Gees and "Man In The Box" by Alice In Chains. Of course the famed Primus bassist made a weird, broken country album, and naturally it's the sonic equivalent of a bloopers soundtrack. Duo de Twang pairs Claypool with guitarist Bryan Kehoe for (surprise) bass-heavy songs with a ridiculous dosage of gooey heartland guitar squeal. On "Red State Girl," Claypool sings, "She's got tits like recycled bottles. There's not much more to say, really. Four Foot Shack provokes guffaws, in that hallucinogenic Claypool.
