Slip It In is the fourth studio album by the American hardcore punk band Black Flag, released in 1984 on SST Records. Slip It In is an extension of the sound Black Flag utilized on its second album My War: heavy, cathartic, intense, dense and progressive. At this point, Black Flag was considered by many to be one of the leading bands of the American punk scene. The album pursued the newer, lengthier song arrangements that Black Flag would develop until its demise.
Slip It In. Black Flag. Produced by Bill Stevenson, Greg Ginn & Spot. Album Slip It In. Slip It In Lyrics. Hey mama You're loose (Slip it in) Put your brain in a noose (Slip it in) The next day you regret it (Slip it in) But, you're still loose. You say you don't want it You don't want it Say you don't want it. Then you slip it on in (In, in, in). You feel like a whore.

From the opening atonal freakout from guitarist Greg Giinn, Slip It In continues Black Flag’s determined jump into the free-jazz-metal abyss. While the band began with its roots in the Southern California hardcore punk scene, they were determined to find a new heaviness that would merge Rollins’ dreams of Jim Morrison and John Coltrane with the band’s love for Black Sabbath and the Ramones. The fact that this album appeared in 1984, only several months after My War, made it difficult for people to completely digest what was happening before their ears. With time, these tunes have gained in strength. Slip It In Black Flag.
Black Flag song lyrics for album Slip It In. Tracks: Slip It In, Black Coffee, Wound Up, Rat's Eyes, Obliteration, The Bars, My Ghetto, You're Not Evil. You say you don't want it You don't want it Say you don't want it Then you slip it on in. In, in, in. You feel like a whore (Slip it in) But what you did the night before (Slip it in) You decided to be all loose (Slip it in) And go all crazy. You say you don't want it You don't want it Say you don't want it But then you slip it on in. In, yeah.
Aggressive Brash Energetic Exciting Intense Menacing Rambunctious Rousing Swaggering Tough Uncompromising Urgent Visceral Volatile Angry Angst-Ridden Cathartic Confrontational Harsh Hostile Nihilistic Provocative. Slip It In followed My War almost immediately, and while a bit better (fewer mega-volume angst drones), the band still wanders a bit, experimenting with expanding the breadth of hardcore into a newer hard rock/punk sound. This is especially true of Greg Ginn's guitar playing, which was becoming increasingly avant-garde and exciting. Rather than simply coughing up one clichéd solo after another, he wandered harmolodically up and down the fretboard as a jazz player like Blood Ulmer would, making the material more interesting than what most Black Flag-influenced bands were playing
