San Diego-based heavy psych power-trio Radio Moscow are back with a new album entitled New up 2014’s Magical Dirt-a new label in Century Media Records, and a renewed sense of purpose. Sometimes titles are just an afterthought, but in the case of New Beginnings-out Sept. 29-it connotes a new chapter for the band and their major-domo, vocalist and guitarist Parker Griggs. These songs were a good way to get it off my chest and be able to move on to the next chapter in life. Writing these songs and making this album was, for me, the only way to get some closure on a lot of different things that I wasn’t able to get closure on in any other way. Brain Cycles is the second studio album by American psychedelic rock band Radio Moscow. Released on April 14, 2009, the album was the first to feature bassist Zach Anderson, who replaced Luke McDuff in 2007. Radio Moscow chronology. Magical Dirt (2014)Magical Dirt2014. New Beginnings (2017). New Beginnings is the fifth studio album by American psychedelic rock band Radio Moscow (or their sixth album, if the 2012 album 3 & 3 Quarters, which was a collection of demos recorded and produced in 2003 by frontman Parker Griggs before the formation of the band, is included).

RADIO MOSCOW‘s vintage sound really provides a sense of nostalgia and they would most certainly be appreciated in a festival environment. You could really imagine them tearing up the 80’s festivals of yesteryear like Woodstock. It’s just a shame that despite a few bands really harnessing this style to full effect such as CLUTCH and RIVAL SONS that it is becoming more of an underappreciated artform.

Their story is a true "being in the right place at the right time" tale, as the band's mmer, Parker Griggs, managed to get a demo tape into the hands of the Black Keys' Dan Auerbach after a gig. Auerbach liked the demo so much, he invited Griggs and bassist Luke McDuff to his home studio in Akron, OH, and produced their 2007 self-titled debut.
