Loaded is the fourth studio album by American rock band the Velvet Underground, released in November 1970 by Atlantic Records' subsidiary label Cotillion. It was the final album recorded featuring founding member and main songwriter Lou Reed, who left shortly before its release. Loaded was ranked 110 on Rolling Stone's list of the 500 greatest albums of all time.

There are great things about this album. The interplay between the musicians is fantastic, and Buddy Blue's slide guitar weaves in and out of the mix, bringing a lot of songs that tasty "Tales of the New West/Glad'n'Greasy" feel that made it such a terrific record. Blue and Raney's vocals are as clear, emotive, and expressive as they ever were on those early BF albums, and the songwriting is good, if only occasionally inspired. And there's the true downfall of this record, the thing that keeps it from greatness.

Dark Days is the debut studio album by American rock band Loaded. Recorded between December 2000 and February 2001 at Jupiter Studios in Seattle, Washington, it was self-released in July 2001. In 2000, Duff began re-recording some of the songs from Beautiful Disease ("Seattlehead", "Then and Now" and "Superman"), as well as new material at Jupiter Studios in Seattle, Washington.

The album's title, Basses Loaded, is a play of words on the baseball term, the bases are loaded. Instead of having a runner at each base, they randomly feature four guest bassists within these twelve tracks. The copies at my record store were all red and black, instead of the red and blue one, that is displayed on Spirit of Rock. So the theme of this album is that it features five different bassists, who don't seem to appear in any fixed pattern. Jared Warren has appeared on all of The Melvin's albums since two thousand six. Steven McDonald is an alternative rock bassist who works the Los Angeles nightclub circuits with Redd Kross.
