Olc Sinnsir's sophomore demo Suffer the Work of Darkness is about as good as you can expect for a traditional black metal demo. There's nothing terribly original, it's the pacing, the arrangements and their penchant for quality riffs that make this a triumph. The way they choose to arrange their riffs really deserves respect; they leapfrog off one each other, each making perfect sense next to its neighbor even if they don't necessarily sound that similar. Olc Sinnsir employ quality you wouldn't usually expect in a random black metal album  . Work of Darkness is dripping with classic Mayhem and Darkthrone but they don't really sound like they're trying to be like either. It's their knack for writing and arranging riffs that really makes this worth coming back to.

consecration of malevolence, slipping from the misty woods beyond the kingdom of light. These spawns of infamy I released, for this is my will to punish this race of weakness with its most feared anguish. By the four winds I bring them the stench of death, the scent of their defunct kings rotten under sunlight. By the earth I bring the divine pestilence, plague of flies. By this night I have summoned the forces, evil ethereal, King! Spirit immortal!

Heart of Darkness is the sixth studio album by Grave Digger. They showed a much darker and more aggressive sound with this release than any of their previous albums. All of the songs have dark, lyrical concepts such as hate, death, betrayal, etc. The title track is inspired by the novella Heart of Darkness. A music video was made for "Circle of Witches". All lyrics written by Chris Boltendahl and Uwe Lulis, except where noted; All music written by Chris Boltendahl and Tomi Göttlich except where noted.

Korn have just announced the release of their 12th studio album, The Serenity of Suffering. The Serenity of Suffering will hit shelves on Oct. 21 and marks Korn’s return to Roadrunner Records. The album was produced by Nick Raskulinecz (Foo Fighters, Deftones, Mastodon) and will feature a guest vocal performance from Slipknot’s Corey Taylor. Rotting in Vain is classic Korn.

Unseen and enshroud in a dark wise silence Wherein boils the tumultuous wrath of eternity, eyes opened and stared. To observe the beast, the nature in darkness over the darkest lands, that ruled the primordial earth, grounds of our mighty Lords. Blackest storms that marked mankind's beliefs; And engraved in their flesh the remains of our might. But still the night grows silent, unheard the voice of He who split the heavens.
