VI is a French black metal trinity, made of current and ex-members of Aosoth and Antaeus. Their debut full-length album, "De Praestgiis Angelorum", bestirs within the characteristic black metal niche developed by the said bands, with the addition of expanded guitar work, choirs and subtle sample parts. VI describes their music as "extreme, devoted black metal with illuminated chaos". Featuring INVRI (Aosoth, ex-Antaeus) on guitars and vocals. Featuring BST (Aosoth, ex-Antaeus, ex-Aborted) on bass.

With bands like Deafheaven and Liturgy currently basking in the black metal spotlight, it’s nice to be reminded of, and indulge in the genre’s more sinister side. That is where French trio VI and their debut full-length, De Praestigiis Angelorum, come in. This newer trinity collects members who have or are currently serving time in Aosoth, Antaeus and Merrimack; three bands that are well-versed in the dark aural arts. When these three demonic entities combine their efforts, a blackened masterpiece is made. After about 72 seconds, the album officially kicks off with Par le jugement causé par ses poisons. Pummeling blast beats barrel forth as the guitars churn out high octane, frostbitten riffs that do not shy away from melody. As the song progresses, the instrumentation becomes more chaotic and intense.
