Sharon "Shari" Ulrich (born 17 October 1951) is a Canadian/American musician and songwriter. She has won a Juno Award for "Most Promising Female Vocalist of the Year" and worked as a television host, actress, film composer, and educator. A recent inductee into the BC Entertainment Hall fo Fame, SHARI ULRICH has fashioned an extraordinarily varied career for herself since coming north from her native San Rafael, California to British Columbia in the early 70's. A Juno award winner, she has excelled as a singer, songwriter, t, television host, television composer and script writer, and theatre performer. In 1973, with Rick Scott and Joe Mock, ULRICH formed the singular and quirky PIED PUMKIN STRING ENSEMBLE, contributing violin, mandolin, flute, dulcimer, guitar, piano and saxophone.

Shari Ulrich's first band of distinction was the Pear of Pied Pumkin with Rick Scott and Joe Mock. She played with the group for three years, but left in 1976 to join the Hometown Band. Two years later, Ulrich left that band and began playing her solo act at various folk festivals. Her first album, Long Nights, was released in 1980; One Step Ahead appeared the following year and Talk Around Town in 1982. Around the time of her collaboration with Bill Henderson and Roy Forbes on a concert and their later recording as UHF, Ulrich released Every Road (1990) and Best of Shari Ulrich (1991)
