Rainbow - Ritchie Blackmore& Rainbow (1975).
Oxymoron Examples Oxymoron Definition Examples of Oxymorons (Oxymora). Oxymoron: a figure of speech by which a locution produces an incongruous, seemingly self-contradictory effect, as in cruel kindness or to make haste slowly. Rhetorical oxymora (. bipartisan cooperation or business ethics ), on the other hand, are expressions composed of words that are not inherently mutually exclusive but express an opinion that the two cannot occur together, usually for satirical intent.
Ritchie Blackmore's Rainbow (sometimes stylised Ritchie Blackmore's R-A-I-N-B-O-W) is the first studio album by American/British rock band Rainbow, released in 1975. During studio sessions in Tampa Bay, Florida on 12 December 1974, Blackmore originally planned to record the solo single "Black Sheep of the Family"- a cover of a track by the band Quatermass from 1970 - and the newly composed "Sixteenth Century Greensleeves", which was to be the B-side.
Ritchie Blackmore has given a frank interview to the Guardian newspaper in which he says he would play with Deep Purple again, in the unlikely event that they asked him. He also reminisces about past days with his subsequent band Rainbow, as the revived group prepare for their return to UK stages next month. In the interview, which you can read in full here, Blackmore, now 72, also says that he enjoys being seen as the angry man of rock, because It keeps the people I don’t like away
